Many, many years ago, someone gave me the gift of a handmade pin cushion in the the shape of chicken. I’ve always loved that pin cushion and wanted to have a go at making something similar.
I also wanted to try my hand at paper piecing, using scraps of quilting fabric, and this was the perfect project for that.

This product contains uncooked rice grains that may swell and become mushy if they come into contact with water.
To discourage anything from eating the rice, add a drop of lavender or peppermint essential oil to the chicken’s underside now and then.
Gently clean with a soft brush or wipe clean with a damp cloth if absolutely necessary.
